Some more progress shots of the dragon commission I've been working on for the past week+. Almost done. He has a whole lot going on (3d eyes, moving jaw, wings, padding, horns, spikes, scales, etc..) so I have been working on this guy for a long time.
Costuming really doesn't come easily to me at all; this was really, really challenging for me and there are definitely some things I know not to do next time, but I think I did my best and I hope the customer likes it. :j I'm kind of glad this one got delayed a bit (eep) as I definitely, DEFINITELY was not ready to do a dragon commission before now. Just uploading some pics since people seem to think I am just sitting on my ass over here.  Design is based on  's character design. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. Loving the 3D eyes. The style of your costumes keep getting better. I'm really impressed by how clean you got it to look. I can't see any seams and all the features blend together smoothly. The hair looks fantastic. I love how you styled/part/cut it. It looks natural; everything flows together. I've seen a lot of (even skilled costume-makers) fail at blending complex features (hair + fur, fur + scales/other details) together because they leave steams/other evidence of manufacturing through. It breaks the illusion of the costume and makes the costume look awkward.
You're doing a damn good job. Can't wait to see this one finished/put together.
